I don't know what to do with my cat, she keeps peeing on the couch.?
I absolutely adore my cats, I have 3. 2 out of the three are queen b type cats and don't get along very well. A little less than a year ago my youngest cat started peeing and marking the couch and other areas around the house. I took her to the vet, no UTI and he suggested a cat behaviorist. I called the cat behaviorist and analyzed everything and she's on prozac now and has been for about 5 months. We clean our litter boxes daily and used to keep the cats separated. D had stopped urinating on the couch for about 2 months and just started up again and on our new couch section that we replaced. I am adamant having clean litter boxes (I have 5 total - 3 different kinds of litter, 2 have the same litter one is just an open box and one is covered for privacy and the last is in another area upstairs for D to access without being threatened. We have done everything the behaviorist asked us to and now we are putting one of our other cats on prozac too. Our other cat can be a little aggressive as well so the doctor thought the medicine would help her as well. At what point do I admit to myself that maybe my home isn't the best place for D. Does she belong in a single cat family? Is she truly unhappy? We give her lots of attention, I just worry that our home may not be the best one for her. Any advice is welcome!
