Responsible pet ownership includes veterinary care for a kitten. Be sure to have your kitten examined by your vet as soon as possible. Your kitten needs a series of vaccinations to ensure a happy, healthy and long life. Be sure to stay current with their shots. Also, many communities require that you register your pet with the local authorities. Your vet will be able to provide more information.

Owning a cat is sure to be a wonderful experience, and with the proper care, the bond between you and your kitten can be a fast and infinite one.

How do I train my kitten to walk on a leash?
Thanks to everyone who replied to my question about toys for kittens - brilliant suggestions - he loves them and we have a great time. I want to start clicker training him and also to get him to walk on a leash eventually so that he can experience the great outdoors in safety. Would love some more top-tips from you all about how to do this. I have bought a kitten harness but not yet tried it on him. I have also bought Karen Pryor's book 'Clicker Training for Cats'. Anyone got any good experiences of either to help me along?
