Cats Sneezing- Causes and Treatment

kitten-information: Kitten SneezingIf you have heard or seen your cat sneezing recently then you should not be alarmed. It is normal for them to sneeze. This is a natural reaction It can also be due to some foreign object blocking the nasal passages of the cat.

Sneezing of cat is a normal behavior and it does not mean that your kitty is facing some health conditions. But, if you think that your beloved pet is sneezing constantly, then try to visit the vet along with your pet.

Like people, certain cats may be allergic to a variety of different materials. It is important when a kitten is nursing, like humans, to identify any kind of allergy a cat may suffer from. The downside to this type of cat sneezing treatment is three-fold. Cost, your cat's discomfort and the danger of side effects from conventional medicines are all concerns you have to face if going the vet route.

This is where bacteria steps in and creates a bigger problem. If your cat is treated immediately as soon as sneezing symptoms are noted, these more serious problems Your cat may also get hives that appear roughly half an hour after exposure to an allergen. The hives can appear anywhere on your cat and go away after a day.

The original cat sneezing diagnosis either will or will not work, and you may have to return to the vet. Then there is always the skulking around the house and distrusting looks your cat gives you when you get home.

The key is feeding them a vitamin-rich diet (especially vitamins A and E) and taking extra precautions to avoid exposing them to dust, smoke, drafts and bacteria. Comparable to the common cold in people, they can usually be cured by good food and rest. If the sneezing continues, a natural application of homeopathic medication can help.

Gently hold Tabby's head and check to see if she has any whiskers that are tickling her nose. A hair could also become lodged in her nose, giving her a terrible tickle The danger comes with the continually rubbing raw of your cat's nasal and throat passages the more they sneeze. Your cat's constant coughing and sneezing leave these areas tender

Other uncommon causes of sneezing in cats may be nose polyps, cancer, and ear infections. If you suspect any of these, or if you just cannot determine the cause of your cat's sneezing. A kitten could also be sneezing because a foreign object is stuck in its respiratory tract. If this is a case - you should be able to see if something there by using a flashlight.

Wild cats eat leaves and herbs when they begin to feel a negative change in their body's many internal systems. They know the answer lies in natural minerals. Your cat is no different.

New kittens sneezing, scratching, grooming constantly?
We recently adopted 2 kittens from the Humane Society and I'm wondering if they could be allergic to something. They started sneezing, grooming themselves fairly regularly and scratching enough to notice. We have 2 older cats and 2 dogs also. I'm wondering if I should be concerned to the point that I take them into the vet, or could they just be getting used to the new litter and other animals dander and smells. I once had a cat who every time she would go outside she would over groom herself. The doctor said it was due to her having smells on her coat that she wasn't used to or didn't like. So do you think I should be concerned right now or give it a week? They seem healthy otherwise. bouncing off the walls actually :) We haven't taken them to the vet just yet as we got them on Friday and have only had them a couple days. We do have an appointment with the vet next Friday but I'm just not sure if this should be an urgent matter that requires us to take them in earlier :( Oh! I thought I should add, we don't have fleas where we live and the kittens have no nasal, ear, or eye discharge :) Thanks =^.^=
